About

Megan Misztal (she/her) is a writer who lives and works in the city of Ottawa. She grew up in a small town in Eastern Ontario and is a guest on unceded Algonquin territory.

In 2015, Megan was awarded first place in the George Johnston Poetry Prize competition. She placed third in the competition on two other occasions. Her work has appeared in print, audio, and digital format in a variety of publications, including Bywords.ca, antilang., and soundbite. 

Megan graduated with an MA degree in English Literature in 2018.

She strives to provide brevity in her book reviews and proximity in her poetry.
